Tell Alexandra Park what its next chapter should be
The Friends of Alexandra Park are running a community survey on the park's future right now, and park surveys are usually answered by a few dozen people. Five minutes of your opinions, from the sofa: take the survey (open as of 31 July 2026). Then put the Great British Beach Clean, 18–27 September, in your diary — kit and details from the Marine Conservation Society.

Around 270 members protecting the 345-hectare country park: practical conservation work parties, the visitor centre, and wildlife monitoring.

Transition Town Hastings
The umbrella for much of the town's green scene since 2008: the Warrior Square station community garden, the Hastings Green Pages directory, and a hand in the Garden Town and We Dig seafront planting work.

Hastings & St Leonards Clean Water Action Group

Beach cleans, planting days and working parties are announced by the groups above on their own pages; for everything else on in town, the neutral listings service Live Hastings has the lot in one place. One gap worth naming: as far as we can establish, Hastings has no repair café — the nearest is in Rye, per Sussex Green Living's county list (checked 2026-07-31). A town full of fixers with nowhere to fix things. If you would help start one, say so when you join.
